Lee Woo-Jin (Hangul: 이우진) is a South Korean football player. He was born on April 25, 1986. He plays as a centre back, which means he is a player who helps protect his team's goal. He has played for several clubs, including Suwon Bluewings, Busan I'Park, and Japanese teams like Tokyo Verdy and Júbilo Iwata. As of 2016, he played for Jeju United.

Lee Woo-Jin's Football Journey

Starting Out in South Korea

Lee Woo-Jin began his professional football career in South Korea. He joined Suwon Bluewings in 2002. He played for them for a couple of years, gaining experience on the field.

Playing in Japan

After his time with Suwon, Lee Woo-Jin moved to Japan. He joined the Japanese club Tokyo Verdy in 2004. During his two years there, he played in 24 league games and scored one goal. He also helped Tokyo Verdy win the Emperor's Cup in 2004, which is a big football competition in Japan.

In 2006, he returned to South Korea to play for Busan I'Park. He spent four seasons with them, playing in 59 league matches and scoring one goal.

Back to Japan and Later Clubs

In 2009, Lee Woo-Jin moved back to Japan. He signed a three-year contract with J1 League club Júbilo Iwata. He played 32 league games for them over two seasons.

After his time in Japan, he returned to South Korea again. He joined Jeonbuk Hyundai in 2012. During this period, he also had loan spells with other clubs like FC Machida Zelvia in 2012 and Daejeon Citizen in 2013. A loan spell means a player temporarily plays for another team.

In 2015, he officially joined Daejeon Citizen. In 2016, he moved to Jeju United, where he continued his career.

Playing for His Country

Lee Woo-Jin also had the chance to represent his country, South Korea. He played for the South Korea U-17 team in 2003. He also played for the South Korea U-20 team from 2003 to 2005, where he played in 22 matches and scored 3 goals.

On June 3, 2009, he played in a game for the senior South Korea national team against Oman. Although he came on as a substitute, this appearance was not officially recorded as a full international match.
