History of Leipsic Village

Leipsic was officially planned and laid out in 1857. Its name is a slightly different spelling of Leipzig, which is a large city in eastern Germany.

Two important buildings in Leipsic are recognized for their historical value. They are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This means they are special places worth protecting.
