Lemmon Valley–Golden Valley was a special area in Washoe County, Nevada, United States. It was called a "census-designated place" (CDP). This means it was a place the government counted for the census, but it wasn't an official city or town.
After the year 2000, this area was split into two separate CDPs. These new areas are now known as Lemmon Valley and Golden Valley. In the year 2000, about 6,855 people lived in the combined area. Lemmon Valley–Golden Valley is located just north of Reno. It is part of the larger Reno–Sparks metropolitan area.

Location and Land Area
The former Lemmon Valley–Golden Valley CDP was located at specific geographic coordinates. These are 39.663842 degrees North and 119.826961 degrees West.
This area covered a total of about 32.5 square miles (which is about 84.1 square kilometers). All of this land was dry land; there was no water area within its borders.
Nature and Wildlife
A special place within this area is the Swan Lake Nature Study Area. This is a small wetland area. Wetlands are important because they are home to many different kinds of birds and other wildlife. It's a great spot for studying nature.
People and Population
In the year 2000, the census counted 6,855 people living in Lemmon Valley–Golden Valley. There were 2,418 households, which are groups of people living together in one home. Out of these, 1,886 were families.
The area had about 211 people per square mile (or 81 people per square kilometer). There were also 2,507 housing units, like houses or apartments.

The people living in the area came from many different backgrounds.
