Leneve is a small place in Coos County, Oregon, in the United States. It is known as an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government. Instead, it's part of the larger county.
Discovering Leneve
Leneve is located along North Bank Road. You can find it off Oregon Route 42, which is a main road in the area. It's northeast of a town called Coquille.

How Leneve Got Its Name
Leneve was named after a pioneer family who were among the first people to settle in this area. Pioneers were brave people who moved to new places to build homes and communities.
The Post Office Story
Leneve used to have its own post office. It opened on April 5, 1917, and helped people send and receive mail. The post office stayed open for many years, finally closing on May 31, 1934. Before they decided on "Leneve," the postal authorities thought about naming the office "Conlogue," but they chose Leneve instead.
