Leo Austin Brooks Jr. was born on August 15, 1957. He is a retired brigadier general from the United States Army. A brigadier general is a high-ranking officer in the military.
The Brooks family is well-known for their service. His brother, Vincent K. Brooks, is also an Army general. Their father, Leo A. Brooks Sr., was a major general in the Army. His uncle, Francis K. Brooks, was a politician in Vermont.
Learning and Education
Leo Brooks Jr. went to Jesuit High School in Sacramento in 1975. After that, he attended the United States Military Academy at West Point. This is a famous school for training Army officers.
He graduated from West Point in 1979 with a science degree. Later, he earned a Master's degree in Public Administration. This was from the University of Oklahoma in 1990. Today, he is a Senior Fellow at Syracuse University. He also serves as a Trustee at Norwich University.
