History of Leona
Leona was first planned and settled in 1873. The city got its name from Leona Shock. She was the very first baby born in the new settlement.
A post office, where people could send and receive mail, opened in Leona in 1873. It stayed open for many years until it closed down in 1986.
Geography of Leona
Leona is situated right next to the Wolf River.
