About the Wolf River
The Wolf River starts in Brown County, Kansas. Its beginning is about 3 miles (4.8 km) north of a town called Powhattan. From there, the river generally flows towards the east.
Where Does It Flow?
As it flows east, the Wolf River passes by several small communities. These towns include Robinson, Leona, and Severance. Near Severance, the river changes direction. It turns and flows northward. The Wolf River then joins the Missouri River. This meeting point is about 8 miles (12.9 km) southeast of White Cloud.
What's Around the River?
