Leonid Bujor (born November 27, 1955 – died January 6, 2021) was an important politician from Moldova. He served as the Minister of Education in the Moldovan government. This means he was in charge of schools, colleges, and everything related to learning in the country. He held this role from September 25, 2009, to January 14, 2011.

Leonid Bujor was born on November 27, 1955, in a place called Singureni, Rîșcani. He was a member of a political group known as the Party Alliance Our Moldova.

His Time in Parliament

Before becoming Minister of Education, Leonid Bujor was a member of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova. The Parliament is like a big meeting place where elected people make laws for the country. He was elected to Parliament in 2005 and served until 2009. He was part of a group called the Electoral Bloc Democratic Moldova.

His Role in Government

After his time as Minister of Education, another person, Mihail Șleahtițchi, took over his role. Later, from 2015 to 2016, Leonid Bujor worked as the Deputy Secretary General for the Moldovan Government's Cabinet. This is a high-level job helping to manage the government's daily work.

His Passing

Sadly, Leonid Bujor passed away on January 6, 2021. He was 65 years old. He died from COVID-19 during the worldwide pandemic.
