The Lepallier River is a river located in Quebec, Canada. It flows into the Broadback River, which then empties into Rupert Bay. Rupert Bay is a part of James Bay. The Lepallier River is found in the Nord-du-Québec region. It flows through the areas of Eeyou Istchee Baie-James and Waskaganish (Cree village municipality).
River's Path
The Lepallier River flows for about 39.3 km (24.4 mi). It starts from Lepallier Lake. This lake is about 190 m (620 ft) above sea level. The river first flows towards the northwest. Then, it turns north. Along its path, it collects water from the Louvart River. It also goes through several marshy areas.
Where the River Flows
The Lepallier River flows between two other rivers. The Nottaway River is to its south. The Broadback River is to its north.
The river's journey ends when it joins the south bank of the Broadback River. This meeting point is southeast of the Cree village of Waskaganish (Cree village municipality). It is about 9.4 km (5.8 mi) upstream from where the Broadback River meets the bay. It is also about 6.5 km (4.0 mi) downstream from the Machisipi River's mouth.

River's Name
The Lepallier River used to have a different name. It was once called the "Coussinet river." The name "Lepallier River" became official on December 5, 1968. This was decided by the Commission de toponymie du Québec, which is a group that names places in Quebec.
