Playing Professional Football

Amazing Records and Achievements

Less Browne holds some impressive records in the CFL. He has the most interceptions in a career, with 87. An interception is when a defensive player catches a pass meant for an offensive player. He also holds the record for most interception return yards, with 1,508. This means he ran the ball a long way after catching those passes!

Browne is also third in the CFL for career blocked kicks, with eight. He played in four Grey Cup games, which are like the championship games of the CFL. He won three of these championships: in 1986, 1990, and 1994.

He was chosen as a CFL All-Star six times during his career. This means he was recognized as one of the best players in the league. He was also a runner-up twice for the CFL's Most Outstanding Defensive Player Award. This shows how important he was to his teams' defenses.

After His Playing Career

Less Browne's incredible career was recognized in 2002. He was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame. This is a special honor for players who have made a big impact on Canadian football.

In November 2006, he was voted one of the CFL's Top 50 players of the modern era. This list was put together by a Canadian sports network called The Sports Network (TSN). Later, Less Browne became an assistant coach for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, one of the teams he played for.
