Liberty is a small town, called a borough, in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States. In 2020, about 2,355 people lived there.
Liberty doesn't have its own post office. Mail for Liberty goes through the nearby city of McKeesport. The town is part of the South Allegheny School District. This district also includes Glassport, Lincoln, and Port Vue. Liberty is home to the district's high school and early childhood center.
Did you know how Liberty got its name? It used to be part of Port Vue. But in 1912, it became its own separate town. It gained its "liberty" from Port Vue, which is how it got its name! People who live there often call it "Liberty Borough" or "Liberty Boro."

The borough is surrounded by other towns. To the north, you'll find Port Vue and McKeesport. To the east, there's Versailles and the Youghiogheny River. Lincoln is to the south, and Glassport is to the west.
