Liberty is a small village located in Sullivan County, New York, in the United States. It's a part of the larger Town of Liberty. In 2020, about 4,700 people lived here. The village is easy to find because it's right next to New York Route 17.

History of Liberty Village

The area around Liberty was first set up as the Town of Liberty in 1807. However, the village itself became its own official place much later, in 1870.
