Like Cola was a type of cola soft drink that came out in the United States in 1982. It was made by the 7 Up company. Its main saying was "Made From The Cola Nut." Like Cola was special because it was one of the first colas with very little caffeine, only about 1%.
The drink came in a red and blue can. There was also a diet version, which had the colors switched. You could also find Like Cola in clear 16-ounce bottles with cool shooting stars on them.

Like Cola and Racing
Like Cola was a big sponsor for a car race in 1983. This race was called the Like Cola 500. It happened on July 24, 1983, at Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pennsylvania. A driver named Tim Richmond won that race.
Who Advertised Like Cola?
Famous people helped advertise Like Cola on TV. The comedian Tim Conway and the actor Kevin Dobson were spokespersons for the drink.
Why Was Like Cola Hard to Find?
Many companies that bottled 7 Up also bottled other popular colas like Coca-Cola or Pepsi-Cola. Because of this, they often did not want to sell Like Cola. This made it harder for people to find and buy Like Cola in stores.
The Name "Like" Before
The name "Like" was actually used before for a different drink. From 1963 to 1969, it was the name for 7 Up's diet lemon-lime soda. That soda was later renamed Diet 7 Up.
