About Lil Gnar's Music Career
Lil Gnar started his music journey in 2018. He has released many songs and albums since then. As of July 2025, he has put out one studio album, two mixtapes, and two special collaboration projects called extended plays (EPs). He has also released many singles, which are individual songs.
How Gnar Became Known
Gnar started to get noticed after he released two songs: "Ride Wit Da Fye" and "Death Note." The music video for "Ride Wit Da Fye" was shown on WorldStarHipHop, a popular platform for music videos. "Death Note" featured other artists named Lil Skies and Craig Xen. A famous video director, Cole Bennett, filmed the "Death Note" video.
Early Music Projects
In February 2018, Gnar released his first collaboration EP, Big Bad Gnar ..., with rapper Germ. An EP is like a mini-album with fewer songs than a full album.
Later that year, in September 2018, he released his first mixtape, GNAR Lif3. This mixtape included songs with other well-known artists like Lil Skies, Travis Barker, IDK, and ZillaKami.
In September 2019, Gnar released his second mixtape, FIRE HAZARD. This project featured many guest artists, including YBN Nahmir, Thouxanbanfauni, Lil Yachty, Craig Xen, Lil Skies, Germ, UnoTheActivist, Robb Banks, Tyla Yaweh, and Lil Tracy.
Recent Music Releases
Gnar and Germ worked together again in February 2020 to release their second collaboration EP, called Big Bad Gnar ... 2.
In May 2022, Gnar released his first full studio album, Die Bout It. This album also featured many guest artists. Some of the artists on Die Bout It were Tory Lanez, Yung Bans, the late Lil Keed, Yak Gotti, Trippie Redd, Germ, D. Savage, Lil Uzi Vert, Ski Mask the Slump God, Chief Keef, and Lil Skies.
Lil Gnar's Early Life
Lil Gnar was born in Oakland, California. When he was younger, he moved to Patterson, California. People who knew him said he was a very quiet and shy kid. Later, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia, which is where he is based now.
