The 2016 presidential campaign of Lincoln Chafee was when he tried to become the next President of the United States. Lincoln Chafee had been the 74th Governor of Rhode Island. He also served as a U.S. Senator for Rhode Island.

He officially started his campaign on June 3, 2015. This was his first time running for president as a member of the Democratic Party. Before this, he had been a Senator as a Republican. He was also elected Governor as an Independent.

Why Lincoln Chafee Ran
