Lindau is a cool town, also called a municipality, located in the Pfäffikon district. It's part of the Zürich canton in Switzerland. Think of a canton like a state or a large region.

Lindau has a long history! We first find its name in old records from the year 774. Back then, it was called Lintauvia. This means the town has been around for over 1200 years!

Lindau covers an area of about 11.9 square kilometers (that's about 4.6 square miles). Imagine a big puzzle made of different types of land.

Lindau has a train station called Kemptthal railway station. This station is on the main train line that connects Zurich to Winterthur. You can catch the Zurich S-Bahn train service S7 from here. This makes it easy to travel to nearby cities!
