Volketswil is a town in Switzerland. It is located in the canton of Zürich, near the city of Zurich. Volketswil is part of the Uster district. It includes several smaller villages like Hegnau, Zimikon, Kindhausen, and Gutenswil.

In 1996, homes and other buildings made up 22.4% of the total area. Roads and other transport areas made up 9.9%. By 2007, about 30.1% of the town's land was being developed with new construction.
