This article lists the people who have served as the Prime Minister of Burkina Faso. The role of Prime Minister was first created in 1971 when the country was known as the Republic of Upper Volta.
The Prime Minister is a very important leader in the government. They are usually the Head of government, meaning they lead the daily operations of the country.
Since 1971, fifteen different people have held this important job. This number does not include three people who served as Interim Prime Ministers.
The person currently serving as the interim Prime Minister of Burkina Faso is Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo. He took office on December 7, 2024.
