This article is a list of the people who have served as the Prime Minister of Burkina Faso. The role of Prime Minister was first created in 1971. At that time, the country was known as the Republic of Upper Volta.
A Prime Minister is a very important leader in a country's government. They work closely with the President to manage the country's daily affairs. Since 1971, fifteen different people have held this position. This number does not include three people who served as "Interim" (temporary) Prime Ministers.
The current temporary Prime Minister of Burkina Faso is Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo. He started his role on December 7, 2024.
