- What it is: This was the home of Nelson W. Aldrich, who was a very important U.S. Senator for a long time. Today, it's where the Rhode Island Historical Society is located, helping people learn about Rhode Island's past.

- What it is: Built in 1875 by George Henry Corliss, a famous inventor. Later, Charles Brackett gave it to Brown University. Since 1973, it has been Brown University's Admission Office.
