The Little Sturgeon River is a cool waterway located in Cheboygan County, Michigan, in the United States. It's about 12.3 miles (19.8 kilometers) long. This river is like a smaller helper stream, called a tributary, that flows into the Indian River.
The River's Journey
The Little Sturgeon River begins its journey at the outlet of Corey Lake. This lake is found east of a small town called Wolverine. From there, the river flows mostly north.
Where the River Ends
After its journey, the Little Sturgeon River joins a larger waterway. It meets the Indian River near the town of Indian River. This meeting point is just east of where Burt Lake flows out.
Part of a Bigger Water System
The Little Sturgeon River is connected to a much larger network of water. When it flows into the Indian River, it becomes part of the Mullett Lake and Cheboygan River system. All these rivers and lakes eventually flow into Lake Huron. Lake Huron is one of the Great Lakes, which are huge freshwater lakes in North America.
