Lloyd Alexander A. Everitt is a Welsh actor. He was born on March 20, 1987. He is known for his roles in many TV shows and plays. In 2015, he made history by being the youngest actor to play the famous character Othello at Shakespeare's Globe theatre. He was also nominated for an award for his role in the TV show Casualty.
Growing Up and Learning
Lloyd grew up in a town called Barry in Wales. His mother is from Jamaica and his father is Welsh. He went to the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. This is a special school where he learned how to act.
While he was studying acting, Lloyd found out he had Dyslexia. This means his brain works a bit differently when it comes to reading and writing. But Lloyd found a cool way to learn his lines. He used pictures and drawings to help him remember everything! Now, he helps other people with dyslexia. He is an ambassador for the British Dyslexia Association. This means he works to support and represent people with dyslexia.
Acting on Screen
Lloyd has acted in many different TV shows and films. He has been in popular shows like Torchwood and Emmerdale. He also played a character named Jez Andrews in the medical drama Casualty from 2016 to 2017. For this role, he was nominated for a "Best Newcomer" award!
He has also appeared in other well-known series. These include New Tricks, Death in Paradise, and Midsomer Murders. More recently, he was in Silent Witness and The Sandman. He also had a main role in The Pact.
Acting on Stage
Lloyd is also a talented stage actor. He has performed in many plays at famous theatres. These include the Bristol Old Vic and the Donmar Warehouse.
One of his most famous stage roles was playing Othello at Shakespeare's Globe in London. This was a very big deal because Othello is a classic character. Lloyd was the youngest actor ever to play him there! He has also acted in other Shakespeare plays like Much Ado About Nothing and King Lear.
