Locus Award facts for kids

Kids Encyclopedia Facts

The Locus Awards are special prizes given out every year to the best science fiction, fantasy, and horror books and stories. These awards are chosen by readers of Locus Magazine, a well-known magazine about science fiction and fantasy.

The awards started in 1971 to celebrate books and stories published in 1970. What's cool is that not only do the writers get an award, but the publishers (the companies that print the books) also get a certificate!
