Lolita Davidovich (born July 15, 1961) is a Canadian actress who has appeared in many movies and television shows. She is most famous for her role as the dancer Blaze Starr in the 1989 movie Blaze. This role earned her a nomination for a Chicago Film Critics Association Award.
Over the years, she has starred in popular films like Leap of Faith (1992), Raising Cain (1992), Jungle 2 Jungle (1997), Gods and Monsters (1998), and Mystery, Alaska (1999).

Early Life and Education
Lolita Davidovich was born in London, Ontario, Canada. Her parents had moved to Canada from a country that used to be called Yugoslavia. Her father was from Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, and her mother was from Slovenia. Because of her family's background, the first language she learned to speak was Serbian.
To train as an actress, she studied at the famous Herbert Berghof Studio in New York City.
Acting Career
Breakthrough with 'Blaze'
Davidovich started her acting career with small roles in TV shows and movies. Her big break came when she was cast in the movie Blaze, where she acted alongside the legendary actor Paul Newman. She won the main role of Blaze Starr, a famous dancer, after competing against 600 other actresses.
Success in the 1990s
After Blaze, Davidovich became a well-known actress. In 1991, she starred in the movie The Object of Beauty with John Malkovich and Andie MacDowell. She also received praise for her role in the HBO movie Prison Stories: Women on the Inside.
Throughout the 1990s, she had leading roles in several other films. These included:

Davidovich is married to Ron Shelton, who is a screenwriter and director. He has directed her in several movies, including Blaze, Dark Blue, and Hollywood Homicide. The couple has two children and lives in Ojai, California.
