A Look at London's History
London was not always called London. It used to be named Haddoxburg. The first postmaster decided to change the name. We do not know why the name was changed.
London once had its own high school. In the early 1950s, students in grades 10-12 started going to school in Russellville. Later, in 1965, grades 7-9 also moved to Russellville. Today, the London School teaches students from kindergarten through 4th grade.

- Trevor Drown - He is a Republican who served in the Arkansas House of Representatives. He represented Pope and Van Buren counties starting in 2015. He used to live in London.
- Brooks Hays - He was a member of the United States House of Representatives for Arkansas. He was also briefly the president of the Southern Baptist Convention.
Fun Things to Do in London
London has some interesting events and places:
- London to Paris TSD Rally - This is a special car rally held every year. It takes place on the last Saturday in October. "TSD" stands for "Time Speed Distance." This means it's a race about following a schedule, not just being the fastest. The rally begins at the London Town Hall. It then goes through the Ozark National Forest. The race ends in Paris, Arkansas, with a dinner and awards.
