London Leah Tipton is a fun and famous character from the Disney Channel shows The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and The Suite Life on Deck. She also appeared in The Suite Life Movie. You might have seen her in other Disney shows too, like Wizards of Waverly Place and Hannah Montana.

The talented actress Brenda Song plays London. Brenda Song got the role without even needing to audition! London Tipton is the daughter of Wilfred Tipton, who owns the fancy Tipton Hotel chain and the SS Tipton cruise ship. London appeared in almost every episode of both The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and The Suite Life on Deck.

Who is London Tipton?

London Tipton is the only child of a very rich businessman, Wilfred Tipton. Her mother is from Thailand, and her father is American. London is the future owner of the huge Tipton company. This company includes hotels, music labels, and even a cruise line!

London's Early Life

Even though London grew up with lots of money, her childhood was sometimes lonely. Her father was often very busy with work. He married several times, which made it hard for London to have a stable mother figure. In one episode, it's shown that London used to enjoy helping others. She even volunteered at homeless shelters during Christmas.

London's father often missed important events, like Christmas. This made London feel sad. She sometimes used shopping to feel better when she was upset. Her friend Maddie noticed this.

Mr. Moseby, the hotel manager, often looked out for London. In one episode, he encouraged her to go to a father-daughter dance. London thought her father wouldn't come, and she was right. Mr. Moseby found her crying. He then offered to be her escort to the dance, and she happily agreed.

When London was 15, she met Maddie Fitzpatrick, who became her best friend. London went to Maddie's school, Our Lady of Perpetual Sorrow, for a while. Later, she had to go to other schools because she often missed classes. Eventually, her father made her attend Seven Seas High. This school was on the SS Tipton cruise ship. He hoped she wouldn't be able to skip classes there!

London lives in a huge, fancy suite at the Tipton Hotel in Boston. Her suite has many closets filled with designer clothes. She loves fashion and always wears the latest styles. London also has a pampered Pomeranian dog named Ivana Tipton.

London is best friends with Maddie Fitzpatrick. She also gets along well with Zack and Cody. Even though London can sometimes seem a bit snobby, she truly cares about her friends. She often turns to Mr. Moseby, Maddie, or Carey for advice. When London is happy, she claps her hands and jumps, saying her famous catchphrase, "Yay me!"

London's School Life

London went to several private schools but didn't always focus on her studies. She often struggled with subjects like reading and writing. Sometimes, she was easily tricked by others, like Maddie. Despite this, London could sometimes surprise everyone by being clever or thoughtful.

London's Web Show

London started her own popular web show called Yay Me, Starring London Tipton. Cody Martin was her first producer. Later, Maddie Fitzpatrick became the official producer. London continued her web show even on the SS Tipton, with Woody Fink helping her.

London rarely saw her father in person. She mostly talked to him on the phone. Mr. Moseby, the hotel manager, was often more present in her life.

London enjoys celebrating holidays, including Hanukkah. She loves getting presents! She also sometimes uses Yiddish words like "Oy Vey" and "Mazel Tov."

London's Journey on The Suite Life on Deck

London thought she was going on a vacation aboard the SS Tipton. But Mr. Moseby told her she was actually there to attend Seven Seas High. This was a school program on the ship. London wasn't happy about this and called it "stupid sea-school."

London had to share a cabin. She tried to get her cabin-mate, Padma, to leave by giving her jewelry. But then Bailey Pickett was assigned to London's cabin. London tried to escape the ship by helicopter. The ship had to make a special trip to rescue her from Parrot Island. She later helped the island by donating money.

Life at Seven Seas High

At Seven Seas High, London was treated like any other student. She sometimes tried to bribe her teachers to get good grades. However, she also started putting more effort into her schoolwork. She even said she enjoyed the feeling of accomplishment. Cody and Bailey once tricked her with "smart perfume" to help her study better. London believed it worked and started getting good grades!

London also found ways to adapt to life on the ship. Since her cabin had limited closet space, she found creative ways to store her many clothes. She even used a submarine, a yacht, and a blimp!

London's Friendships and Growth

London and Bailey became friends, though sometimes their friendship was a bit rocky. London once moved Bailey's bed to the ceiling! They eventually learned to share their cabin equally. London was reunited with her dog, Ivana, who was flown to the ship.

London sometimes made mistakes, like teasing Bailey on her web show. But London always meant well, and Bailey usually forgave her. London also tried to do nice things for others. For example, she tried to find the perfect birthday gift for Mr. Moseby. She also tried to help him when he was injured.

In one episode, London visited Thailand and met her grandmother. She learned more about her family's background. London also showed she could be clever when she pretended to be on a resort island to avoid work. She even fixed a small boat using her eyebrow products!

London's last line in the series was "Little me, off to Paris," said with a French accent. This showed her journey from the beginning of the show.
