Discovering Look Park's History
Look Park is huge, about 150 acres! A kind lady named Mrs. Fannie Burr Look gave this land to the city of Northampton, Massachusetts. She also gave money to build the park and a special fund to keep it nice. The park first opened its gates to everyone in 1930.
Today, Look Park is run by a non-profit group. This means it doesn't get money from the city or state. Instead, it uses the special fund, money from visitors, and gifts to stay open and awesome!
