Loris Kessel (born April 1, 1950 – died May 15, 2010) was a racing driver from Switzerland. He was known for competing in Formula One and other exciting car races.

Loris Kessel was born in Lugano, Switzerland, and later passed away in Montagnola. He loved fast cars and became a professional racing driver.
He took part in six Formula One World Championship races. Formula One is the highest class of international racing for open-wheel single-seater formula racing cars. Loris made his first Formula One appearance on May 2, 1976. He did not score any championship points during his Formula One career.
His Formula One Journey
In 1976, Loris Kessel drove a Brabham car for a team called RAM. The next year, in 1977, he raced his own car, an Apollon-Williams. However, this car did not perform very well in the races.
Beyond the Race Track
Outside of racing, Loris Kessel was also a successful businessman. He owned several car dealerships in Switzerland. He also had his own racing team.
