Los Nietos is a small fishing village in Spain. It's located on the Mar Menor, which is a large saltwater lagoon. Long ago, Los Nietos was just a tiny fishing spot. The Mar Menor Lagoon

The Mar Menor is a huge saltwater lagoon. It has a coastline of about 73 kilometers (45 miles). Its waters are clear and shallow, reaching a maximum depth of 7 meters (23 feet). This lagoon covers an area of 170 square kilometers (65 square miles). This makes it the largest saltwater lake in Europe! The average temperature here is around 17 °C (63 °F) each year. Winters are mild, with temperatures usually staying above 10 °C (50 °F).

It stretches for 21 kilometers (13 miles). La Manga has over 40 kilometers (25 miles) of sandy beaches. You can also find hotels and a casino there. It's also close to the airport and the old city of Cartagena.

Los Alcázares

Los Alcazares is an old fishing village. It has 7 kilometers (4.3 miles) of beaches. These beaches stretch from Los Narejos to Punta Brava. It's easy to get to Los Alcázares and other nearby towns by public transport.

Santiago de la Ribera

Santiago de la Ribera started as a small settlement in 1888. It grew around a small church. This church was named after Saint Santiago. A knight named Friar Jose Maria Barnuevo Rodrigo de Villamayor founded it. He was part of the Military Order of Santiago. That's why the town was named Santiago de la Ribera.
