Lotta Nieminen (born February 1, 1986) is a talented illustrator and graphic designer from Finland. She lives and works in New York City. Lotta is famous for making children's books. She also designs many other things like websites, magazines, product packaging, and even furniture! Some big companies she has worked with include Facebook, Google, Volkswagen, and Hermès.

Early Life and Education
Lotta Nieminen was born in Finland. Her father, Risto Nieminen, worked in music, and her mother, Raija Malko, is an artist. When Lotta was a child, her family lived in Paris for five years. She studied graphic design at two well-known schools: the University of Art and Design Helsinki in Finland and the Rhode Island School of Design in the United States.
Her Design Career
In 2010, Lotta Nieminen was an art director for Trendi Magazine in Finland. She decided to move to New York City to grow her career. She applied to many design studios there. She got an internship at Pentagram, which is a very famous design company. After that, she worked at RoAndCo Studio before starting her own freelance work.
Starting Her Own Studio
Lotta Nieminen started her own business, Lotta Nieminen Studio, in 2012. Since then, she has worked with many well-known companies. These include Facebook, Google, the New York Times, Bulgari, Volkswagen, Marimekko, and Hermès. In 2014, she even helped redesign the look of Google Calendar.
Children's Books and More
In 2013, Lotta published her first children's book called Walk This World. It was published by Templar Publishing. She also wrote and illustrated an interactive children's cookbook in 2014 called Pancakes!. This book was part of her Cook in a Book series.
Lotta has also shared her design skills with others. In 2014, she gave a live online presentation at Portland State University. In 2017, she showed her illustration techniques at a live event with Maria Russo, an editor from the New York Times.
In 2019, Lotta Nieminen redesigned Posture magazine. Her work was featured in Design Week, a well-known design publication. She is also the creative director for a fragrance company called Maison d'Etto.
