Louane is a talented French singer and actress. Her full name is Anne Edwige Maria Peichert. She was born on November 26, 1996. Louane became famous in France after reaching the semi-finals of the TV show The Voice: la plus belle voix in 2013.
She is also well-known around the world for her role in the 2014 movie La Famille Bélier. For this role, she won a special award called the César Award for Most Promising Actress. In May 2025, Louane represented France in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with her song "Maman". She finished in seventh place with 230 points.
Louane's Early Life
Louane, whose birth name is Anne Peichert, was born in Sainte-Catherine, France, on November 26, 1996. She grew up in the Pas-de-Calais area with her four sisters and one brother, Benoît.
Her father, Jean-Pierre Peichert, was French. His mother was Polish and his father was German. Louane's mother, Isabel Pinto dos Santos, was Brazilian-Portuguese. Her father was Portuguese and her mother was Brazilian.
When she was 11, in 2008, Louane took part in a French music competition called L'École des stars.
Louane was diagnosed with ADHD when she was eight years old. She has shared that her parents taught her a lot about discipline. They always treated her with love, even when they had to set rules for her hyperactivity.
Louane sadly lost both of her parents when she was a teenager. She sang "Imagine" on The Voice to honor her father, who had passed away just three months before. Her mother died in 2014 after being ill for a long time.

Louane's big break came in 2013 when she joined the second season of The Voice: la plus belle voix. She sang "Un homme heureux" by William Sheller for her audition. All four judges, Florent Pagny, Jenifer, Louis Bertignac, and Garou, wanted her on their team. She chose to join Team Louis Bertignac.
During the show, she performed many songs, including "Torn" and "Call Me Maybe". Her performance of "Imagine" was very special because she dedicated it to her father. She made it to the semi-finals of the competition.
On February 5, 2015, Louane was the opening act for Jessie J's concert in Paris.
Her first album, Chambre 12, was released on March 2, 2015. It was a huge success! Her song "Avenir" even reached the top of the French music charts.
In 2017, she sang on the song "It Won't Kill Ya" for The Chainsmokers' album, Memories...Do Not Open.
For the 25th anniversary of Pokémon, Louane released a song called "Game Girl" on September 1, 2021. The name is a fun play on words, like the Game Boy.
On January 30, 2025, it was announced that Louane would represent France at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel. Her song, "Maman," was about her late mother. In the Grand Final on May 17, 2025, she finished in seventh place.
