Louis Perry Anderson (born March 24, 1953 – died January 21, 2022) was a famous American comedian, actor, and author. He was also a game show host. Louie Anderson created the fun cartoon series Life with Louie. He also wrote four books, including Hey Mom: Stories for My Mother, But You Can Read Them Too.
From 1999 to 2002, he was the host of the popular game show Family Feud. Louie Anderson won an Emmy Award in 2016. This was for his role in the TV show Baskets on the FX channel. He was nominated for this award three times in a row.
Louie Anderson also had his own stand-up comedy show in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was called Louie: Larger Than Life and ran from 2003 to 2012.

Louie Anderson was born and grew up in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He was one of 11 children in his family. His mother was Ora Zella, and his father was Louis William Anderson. Louie was the second youngest child. His father was a trumpet player.

Comedy and Acting Career
Louie Anderson first appeared on television on January 13, 1984. This was on Rodney Dangerfield's Young Comedians Special on HBO. He quickly became known for his funny stories.
