Luca Hänni (born 8 October 1994) is a singer and TV star from Switzerland. He became very famous in 2012. This happened after he won the ninth season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar. This show is the German version of the Idol singing competition.

Luca was special because he was the first winner who wasn't German. He was also the youngest person ever to win the show. His first song, "Don't Think About Me", was a huge hit. It went to number one in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. His first album, My Name Is Luca (2012), also reached the top of the charts. It sold so well that it became a "gold" album in Austria and Switzerland. His second album, Living the Dream, was also a number-one hit in Switzerland.

Luca Hänni was born in Bern, Switzerland. When he was very young, he took drumming lessons. By age nine, he taught himself to play the guitar and piano. After finishing school, he started training to be a bricklayer. However, he stopped this training in 2012 to focus on his music career.

In 2012, Luca Hänni joined the ninth season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar. This is a popular singing talent show in Germany. On April 28, 2012, he made it to the final. He competed against Daniele Negroni and won the show. Luca received 52.85 percent of the audience votes.

At that time, Luca was the only winner who was under 18. He was also the first winner who was not from Germany. As his prize, he received 500,000 Euros and a music contract. He also got a car and driving lessons. Luca's first song, "Don't Think About Me", came out on May 2, 2012. It was an instant success. The song quickly became a "gold" hit in Switzerland. It also reached number one in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. This made Luca the first Swiss person in 52 years to have a number one song in Germany. "Don't Think About Me" sold over 100,000 copies.

Luca's first album, My Name Is Luca, was released on May 18, 2012. A judge from Deutschland sucht den Superstar, Dieter Bohlen, produced most of it. The album included new songs and cover versions of songs by other artists. It went to number one in Austria and Switzerland. It also reached number two in Germany. In 2017, Luca was the person who announced Switzerland's votes in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. This event took place in Kyiv, Ukraine. In the same year, he was a contestant on the TV show Dance Dance Dance. He danced with Prince Damien, who also won Deutschland sucht den Superstar. Luca was one of the best dancers on the show. He won the competition in October 2017. In December 2018, he released the song "Bei mir". He performed this song on the Helene Fischer Show. However, the song did not become a chart hit.

In March 2019, it was announced that Luca would represent Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. The contest was held in Tel-Aviv, Israel. He performed the song "She Got Me".
