Lueders is a small city located in the state of Texas, USA. It is found in two different counties: Jones County and Shackelford County. In 2020, about 258 people lived there. The part of Lueders in Jones County is also part of the larger Abilene, Texas metropolitan area, which is a group of nearby cities and towns.

Location and Landscape
Lueders is mainly located in the eastern part of Jones County. A small section of the city also extends into Shackelford County. The city covers an area of about 0.59 square miles (1.5 square kilometers), and all of this area is land.
Texas State Highway 6 runs right through Lueders. This highway connects Lueders to other towns. If you travel northwest for about 15 miles (24 km), you will reach Stamford. If you go southeast for about 21 miles (34 km), you will arrive in Albany. The Clear Fork of the Brazos River flows just south of the city limits.

Education in Lueders
For many years, Lueders had its own schools. However, in 1967, the schools in Lueders joined with the schools in a nearby town called Avoca. This merger created a new school district known as the Lueders-Avoca Independent School District. This district now serves the students from both communities.
