His Art and Work
Luis González Velázquez worked on many interesting projects.
- From 1741 to 1742, he painted murals in a chapel in La Puebla de Montalbán. These wall paintings showed a style called rococo, which is very decorative.
- Starting in 1744, he helped decorate the theater at Buen Retiro Park in Madrid. He worked with another artist named Santiago Bonavía.
- In 1758, Luis was named a court painter. This meant he had a special title from the King of Spain. However, he didn't paint many works for the King. This suggests the title was more of an honor.
