Luís Airton Barroso de Oliveira, also known as Lulù, is a former football player and now a manager. He was born on March 24, 1969. Luís Oliveira was a striker, which means he played in a position to score goals. He spent most of his time playing football in Italy. Even though he was born in Brazil, he played for the national team of Belgium.

Playing Career: Luís Oliveira's Football Journey
Club Career: Playing in Belgium and Italy
Luís Oliveira was born in 1969 in a poor neighborhood called a favela in São Luís, Maranhão, Brazil. He started his football journey when he was signed by a Belgian club called Anderlecht. He played for Anderlecht until 1992.
In 1992, he moved to Italy. There, he played for many famous teams. These included Cagliari, Fiorentina, Bologna, Como, Catania, Foggia, Venezia, and Lucchese. He became very well-known at Cagliari and Fiorentina. He was a great scorer in Serie A, which is Italy's top football league.
Later in his career, in 2006, he joined Nuorese. This team was in a lower league called Serie C2/A. He wanted to be closer to his family in Sardinia. In 2008, his club closed down. So, he moved to Serie D team Derthona.
In July 2009, Oliveira went back to Sardinia. He joined a club called Muravera, which was from his wife's hometown. He stopped playing football in 2010 when he was 41 years old.
International Career: Playing for Belgium
Luís Oliveira became a citizen of Belgium. This allowed him to play for their national team. He played 31 games for the Belgian team. He also represented Belgium in the 1998 FIFA World Cup, which is a huge international football tournament. He scored 7 goals for Belgium during his international career.
Coaching Career: From Player to Manager
Towards the end of his playing days, Luís Oliveira also started coaching. For a few months in 2009–10, he was a player and a manager for Muravera. After he retired from playing, he decided he wanted to be a full-time coach.
In June 2011, he passed an important coaching exam in Italy. This exam is called the Category 2 (UEFA A) coaching exam. In March 2012, he returned to Muravera. This time, he was the main coach for the last four games of the season. He continued to coach Muravera for the 2012–13 season. During that season, he led his small club to win the Coppa Italia Eccellenza cup.
On August 1, 2014, Oliveira became the new head coach for Lega Pro club Pro Patria. However, he was only there for a short time. He was let go on November 4, 2014. He had only won one game out of 11 matches.
On June 13, 2015, Oliveira was named the new head coach of Maltese Premier club Floriana. But his time there was also short, less than two months. He was then replaced by another coach, Guido Ugolotti.
