About Luis Ricardo Falero
Falero was born in Granada, Spain. He first planned to join the Spanish Navy. But he soon decided to follow his passion for art instead. This choice was a bit disappointing for his parents.
He then traveled to Paris, France, on foot. There, he studied art, chemistry, and mechanical engineering. The experiments in chemistry and engineering were quite risky. So, Falero chose to focus only on painting. He learned from a famous artist named Gabriel Ferrier. After his time in Paris, he moved to London, England, where he eventually made his home.
Falero's Love for Astronomy
Falero had a special interest in astronomy, which is the study of stars and planets. He often included stars and constellations in his paintings. Some of his famous works showing this interest include "The Marriage of a Comet" and "Twin Stars." His knowledge of space also led him to illustrate books by Camille Flammarion, a well-known astronomer.
Later Life and Family
In 1889, Falero married Maria Cristina Spinelli in Rochford, England. By 1891, they were living in Hampstead, London. His wife was Italian.
Luis Ricardo Falero passed away in London in 1896. He was 45 years old.
