Luke Jermay (born 7 March 1985) is a British magician, mentalist, and writer. He is known for his amazing mind-reading acts and for helping other famous magicians create their incredible shows.

Early Life and Magic

Luke Jermay was born in Essex, England, on March 7, 1985. He became interested in magic and how it works from a young age. He started performing magic when he was just 12 years old! By the time he was 15, Luke had already written his first book, 7 Deceptions. This book became very popular among magicians all over the world.

Amazing Career

Luke has performed his unique magic and mind-reading shows in over 20 countries. He has appeared in many different places, from small local venues to famous stages like the London Palladium.

He is especially known for using suggestion and what seems like psychological influence in his acts. Two of his most famous tricks include:

  • Making his own pulse stop, and then appearing to stop a random audience member's pulse.
  • The Chair Prediction, where Luke correctly guesses which chair a person from the audience will choose to sit in.

Luke has written many books and guides about magic and mentalism. Some of his widely known books include 7 Deceptions, Building Blocks, Coral Fang, and 3510.

He also works behind the scenes, helping other magicians and mentalists. He designs special psychological illusions and helps plan their shows. Luke worked as a consultant for the TV series Derren Brown: Mind Control and Derren Brown: Trick of the Mind. He also helped Criss Angel with his show Mind Freak and Marco Tempest with The Virtual Magician. Later, he consulted for the popular TV show The Mentalist and for the British magician Dynamo.

In 2008, Luke Jermay, along with Marcus Monroe and Ben Seidman, started a touring show called The Optical Delusions. It was a show that featured new and exciting variety acts.
