About Lulu James
Early Life and Moving to the UK
Lulu James was born in Tanzania, a country in East Africa. Her family comes from the Maasai tribe, who are known for their rich culture. When Lulu was six years old, she moved to the United Kingdom. She settled in a town called South Shields in North East England.
Starting Her Music Journey
Lulu always loved music. She joined a special music course where she learned a lot about developing her skills. It was there that she met DomZilla, who became her main producer and helped her write songs.

First Steps in Music
In 2012, Lulu James released her very first collection of songs, called an EP, by herself. It was titled Rope Mirage. After this, she signed with a record company called Black Butter Records. They helped her release her first official songs, "Be Safe" and "Stuck".
Touring and New Songs
Lulu started touring around the United Kingdom in late 2012. She performed with other artists from her record label, like Hostage and Rudimental. By early 2013, she signed with another big record company, RCA Records. She then released a new song called "Closer".
Later in 2013, her song "Sweetest Thing" came out. Lulu also had the exciting chance to tour with famous singers like Ellie Goulding. She continued to release new music, including the song "Beautiful People" in 2014. In 2015, she sang on tour with the house music duo Gorgon City.
