Lynnport is a small, quiet community in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It's not a city or a town with its own government, but rather a part of a larger area called Lynn Township. Lynnport is nestled in a beautiful region known as the Lehigh Valley. This area is home to many people, making it one of the bigger metropolitan areas in the U.S.
Lynnport is located on PA Route 143. It sits at an elevation of about 486 feet (148 meters) above sea level.
About Lynnport
Lynnport is an unincorporated community. This means it's a place where people live, but it doesn't have its own separate local government like a city or a borough. Instead, it's governed as part of a larger area, which in this case is Lynn Township.
Where is Lynnport?
Lynnport is found in the northwestern part of Lehigh County. It's very close to another small community called New Tripoli. Together, Lynnport and New Tripoli are important parts of Lynn Township, which is the largest township in Lehigh County by size.
Lynn Township is quite big, covering about 41.3 square miles (107 square kilometers). It's known for its mountains, rolling hills, and pretty countryside. In 2009, about 4,150 people lived in Lynn Township.
Helping Hands: Emergency Services
Lynnport has its own fire station, the Lynnport Community Fire Company #1. This station is right in the middle of Lynnport and has several fire trucks. It also has a social hall and large parking areas for community events.
For medical emergencies, the Cetronia Ambulance Corps provides help. If you need police, the Pennsylvania State Police respond, often from their barracks in Fogelsville. Because there isn't a local police force just for Lynnport, police response times can sometimes be a bit longer than for fire or medical emergencies. All these services get backup from nearby groups, like the New Tripoli Fire Company.
Community Life
Lynnport is also home to Jacobs UCC Church. This church offers religious services and has a large hall used for social gatherings and recreation. It's a place where people can come together and connect.
