Lyons is a small village located in Ionia County, which is part of the U.S. state of Michigan. In 2010, about 789 people lived there. Most of the village is within Lyons Township. A small part of it also reaches into Ionia Township.

Lyons is a village in Michigan. The United States Census Bureau says the village covers a total area of about 1.35 square miles (3.49 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 1.22 square miles (3.15 square kilometers), is land. The rest, about 0.13 square miles (0.34 square kilometers), is water.

What the 2010 Census Showed
In 2010, the census counted 789 people living in Lyons. These people lived in 297 different homes, and 209 of those were families. The village had about 647 people per square mile of land. There were also 325 housing units, which means homes or apartments, with about 266 units per square mile.
Most of the people in Lyons were White, making up 95.4% of the population. A smaller number were African American (0.4%) or Asian (0.3%). About 1.1% were from other races, and 2.8% were from two or more races. People who identified as Hispanic or Latino made up 4.1% of everyone living in the village.
Looking at the homes, about 35.7% had children under 18 living there. More than half, 53.5%, were married couples living together. About 10.1% of homes had a female head of household with no husband. About 6.7% had a male head of household with no wife. Nearly 30% of homes were not families.
About 23.9% of all homes had just one person living in them. About 9.8% of these single-person homes had someone aged 65 or older. On average, there were 2.66 people in each household and 3.08 people in each family.
The average age of people in the village was 37.8 years. About 25.7% of residents were under 18 years old. About 7.3% were between 18 and 24. People aged 25 to 44 made up 26.2% of the population. Those aged 45 to 64 were 29.8%, and 11.3% were 65 years or older. In terms of gender, 52.3% of the population was male and 47.7% was female.
