History of Maben
Early Aviation in Maben
A very famous pilot named Charles Lindbergh once spent two weeks in Maben. This was in May 1923, before his famous flight across the Atlantic Ocean. He was repairing his airplane, a "Jenny," and gave rides to local people for five dollars each. Imagine getting to fly with a future aviation hero!

In 2013, a new law made the Starkville City School district take over the Oktibbeha County Schools. Then, in 2015, West Oktibbeha County High School in Maben joined with Starkville High School.
