What Makes the Mac Mini Special?
The Mac Mini is different from other Macintosh desktop computers. It was the first Mac desktop that did not come with a keyboard or a mouse. It also doesn't include a display screen.
Who is the Mac Mini For?
The Mac Mini is mostly made for people who are "switchers." These are users who are moving from a PC (Windows computer) to a Mac. They probably already have a display, a USB keyboard, and a mouse. This way, they don't have to buy new ones. If someone needs these parts, they can easily buy them separately.
Mac Mini as a Server
There's also a special version of the Mac Mini. This one is made to be a server for smaller systems. For example, it could be used for a home network. This server version comes with Snow Leopard Server software. It also has two 500 GB hard drives. Unlike other Mac Minis, the server version does not have a built-in optical disc drive.
