Mackenzie Foy (born November 10, 2000) is an American actress. She is known for playing Renesmee Cullen in the 2012 movie The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. This role earned her a nomination for a Young Artist Award.
She also played young Murph in the 2014 space adventure film Interstellar. For this role, she won a Saturn Award for Best Performance by a Younger Actor. Later, she starred as Clara in Disney's 2018 movie The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. Her most recent film was Black Beauty, released on Disney+ in 2020.

Mackenzie Foy was born on November 10, 2000, in Los Angeles, California. She grew up there with her family. Her dad was a truck driver, and her mom was a homemaker. They did not work in the movie business.
Mackenzie started modeling when she was just 3 years old. She began acting when she was 9. Mackenzie Foy also practices Taekwondo, a type of martial art.
Mackenzie's Acting Career
Foy started her career as a model in 2004. She appeared in print ads for popular brands like Garnet Hill, Polo Ralph Lauren, and Guess. She also modeled for companies such as The Walt Disney Company, Mattel, and Gap.
Her acting journey began when she was nine. She appeared as a guest star in TV shows like 'Til Death, FlashForward, and Hawaii Five-0.
Becoming Renesmee Cullen
In 2010, Mackenzie was chosen to play Renesmee Cullen. This was for the movie based on Stephenie Meyer's book Breaking Dawn. This book was the fourth and last in the Twilight series.
The first movie, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, came out on November 18, 2011. In this film, Renesmee only appeared in a quick look into the future. The second movie, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, was released on November 16, 2012.

Other Film and TV Roles
In February 2012, Mackenzie joined the cast of the horror movie The Conjuring. Filming started in North Carolina that same month, and the movie was released in July 2013. Also in February, she was in an episode of the TV series R. L. Stine's The Haunting Hour. She played Natalie, a girl who finds a living doll with bad intentions.
On October 10, 2012, Foy joined Wish You Well. This movie was based on a book by David Baldacci, and Mackenzie played the main character. In November 2012, she appeared in another episode of R. L. Stine's The Haunting Hour, playing Georgia Lomin. In 2014, she was in the movie Black Eyed Dog.
Big Screen Success
Mackenzie Foy played the younger version of Matthew McConaughey's daughter in Christopher Nolan's movie Interstellar. She also lent her voice to several animated films. She was Celestine in the English version of Ernest & Celestine (2012). She voiced Violet in The Boxcar Children (2014). And she was The Little Girl in The Little Prince (2015).
In July 2016, it was announced that Mackenzie would play Clara. This was the main role in the movie The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. In May 2019, it was shared that Foy would star with Kate Winslet in a new movie called Black Beauty. This film was shot in late 2019 and came out in 2020.
