Mad Jack the Pirate is an animated TV show from 1998-1999. It's a funny adventure series about pirates. Bill Kopp created the show. Jeff DeGrandis directed it. You could watch it on Fox Kids in the United States.
The show follows a pirate named Jack. He's not very good at being a pirate. He's often scared and fails a lot. But he always thinks he's the best! His best friend is Snuk. Snuk is a rat who walks and talks like a person. He's not very smart. They sail the seas on their ship, the Sea Chicken. They go on many wild and funny adventures.
Some people say the show is like an old British comedy called Blackadder. Jack is a bit like the character Edmund Blackadder. Snuk is similar to Baldrick. Even some lines in the show are from Blackadder. Other characters like Flash and Angus also look like characters from that show.
Mad Jack the Pirate was shown in other countries too. In Eastern Europe, you could find it on DVD. In Turkey, it was on VCD. It also aired on channels like Jetix Play and Fox Kids in different parts of the world.
In 2001, Saban Entertainment sold Mad Jack and other shows. They were bought by The Walt Disney Company.
