Madisonburg is in the eastern part of Centre County. It sits in a beautiful area called Brush Valley (Pennsylvania). This valley is part of the Appalachian Mountains, which are famous for their long, parallel ridges. Madisonburg is nestled between two of these ridges: Nittany Mountain to the north and Brush Mountain to the south.

Main Roads and Travel

The main road through Madisonburg is Pennsylvania Route 445. This road goes north about 7 miles (11 km) to Pennsylvania Route 64 in Nittany. From Nittany, it's just 3 miles (5 km) southwest to Interstate 80, a major highway.

At the southern end of Madisonburg, PA 445 meets PA 192. PA 192 heads east about 4 miles (6 km) to Rebersburg. It also goes southwest about 10 miles (16 km) to Centre Hall. PA 445 also follows PA 192 for a short distance to the east. Then, it turns south, going through Brush Mountain and Shriner Mountain for about 4 miles (6 km) to Millheim.
