Where is Madrid Located?
Madrid is found in the northern part of St. Lawrence County. It sits just south of the middle of the larger Town of Madrid.
Two important roads run through Madrid. New York State Route 310 goes through the community. If you follow it northeast for about 20 miles, you'll reach Massena. If you go southwest for about 11 miles, you'll get to Canton.
Another road, State Route 345, crosses NY 310 just south of the center of Madrid. This road can take you north-northwest about 9 miles to Waddington, which is on the St. Lawrence River. If you go southeast for about 10 miles, you'll arrive in Potsdam.
The Grass River also flows through the middle of Madrid. This river is a branch of the St. Lawrence River.
