Maidan Wardak Province (also known as Maidan Wardag or Maidan Vardak) is one of the 34 provinces in Afghanistan. It is located in the central eastern part of the country. About 540,100 people live in this province. The capital city of Maidan Wardak is Maidan Shahr.

Neighboring Provinces
Maidan Wardak Province shares its borders with several other provinces in Afghanistan. To the north, it is next to Parwan Province. To the northeast, you'll find Kabul Province, which is home to Afghanistan's capital city. Logar Province is to the southeast, and Ghazni Province is located to the south. Finally, to the northwest, Maidan Wardak borders Bamyan Province.
