Maite Perroni Beorlegui was born in Mexico City. She spent her childhood in Guadalajara until she was 12 years old. Then, her family moved back to Mexico City. She has two younger brothers, Adolfo and Francisco.

From a young age, Maite loved acting. She appeared in many TV commercials and music videos. In school, she enjoyed acting, art, singing, and dancing. She even danced in a Disney Channel show. After high school, Maite went to the Centro de Educación Artística (CEA). This is an acting school run by Televisa, a big Mexican media company. She finished the three-year course in just two years.

After graduating, Maite got her first big role as Guadalupe "Lupita" Fernandez in the Mexican telenovela Rebelde. She was one of the six main actors in the show. The series was very popular and lasted for three seasons.

Through Rebelde, Maite became part of the music group RBD. This group performed sold-out concerts in many countries, including Brazil, Mexico, Spain, and Ecuador. RBD became famous worldwide, winning awards for "Best Group of the Year" and "Best Album of the Year." They sold over 50 million records and filled huge venues like Madison Square Garden.

In 2008, Maite's popularity grew even more. She was chosen to be one of the first Latin women to have a Barbie doll made in her likeness. The Maite Perroni Barbie doll was very successful in Mexico, Latin America, the United States, and Spain.

After Rebelde ended, the members of RBD starred in a sitcom called RBD: La Familia in 2007. This show was about the actors' real personalities, not their characters from Rebelde. It was the first Mexican show filmed entirely in high definition.

In 2008, Maite played the main character in Cuidado con el ángel alongside William Levy. This show was a big hit around the world. She then took on her third main role in Mi Pecado.

She also recorded "Mi Pecado" with the band Reik, which was the opening song for the telenovela Mi Pecado. Another duet, "A Partir De Hoy" with Marco di Mauro, was part of the soundtrack for Triunfo del Amor.

In 2012, Maite released a single called "Te daré mi corazón" for her telenovela "Cachito de Cielo." Later that year, she announced her first solo album, Eclipse de Luna. The first single from the album, "Tu y Yo," was a bachata song released in July 2013.

In May 2014, she released another bachata song, "Vas A Querer Volver," which was the theme song for her soap opera La Gata. She also released a duet with Alex Ubago called "Todo lo que soy" for the same telenovela. In July 2016, Maite released her single Adicta, which has millions of views on YouTube.
