Maite Perroni Beorlegui (born on March 9, 1983) is a talented Mexican actress, singer, songwriter, and producer. She became famous around the world in 2004. This happened after she starred in the Mexican TV show for young people called Rebelde. This show also led to the creation of the popular pop-rock group RBD, which was even nominated for a Latin Grammy award.
Maite Perroni's acting journey started in 2004. Since then, she has appeared in many television series. In 2009, Univision called her "The New Queen of Telenovelas" because of her great acting. She won the Premios TVyNovelas for Best Actress in 2016. This award was for her role in the show Antes muerta que Lichita. She has also starred in Netflix shows like Dark Desire and Triada. In Triada, she played three identical characters!
Maite has also lent her voice to animated movies. She voiced the character Di in the Huevos movie series, starting with the third film. She also voiced the Tooth Fairy in the Latin American Spanish version of the 2012 DreamWorks Animation movie, Rise of the Guardians.
In 2012, Maite Perroni signed a contract with Warner Music Group. The next year, she released her first solo music album, Eclipse de Luna (2013). This album quickly became popular. About Maite Perroni
Her Early Life and Career Beginnings
Maite Perroni Beorlegui was born in Mexico City. However, she spent her childhood in Guadalajara until she was 12 years old. Then, her family moved back to Mexico City. She has two younger brothers named Adolfo and Francisco.
From a very young age, Maite loved acting. She appeared in many TV commercials and even some music videos. At school, she enjoyed acting, art, singing, and dancing. She also danced in a Disney Channel show.
After finishing high school, Maite joined the Centro de Educación Artística (CEA). This is an acting school run by Televisa. She was supposed to take a three-year course, but she finished it in just two years! After graduating, she got the role of Guadalupe "Lupita" Fernandez. This was in the Mexican TV show called Rebelde.
She was one of the six main actors in Rebelde. The others were Anahí, Dulce María, Christian Chávez, Alfonso Herrera, and Christopher von Uckermann. The TV series ran for three seasons.
Success with RBD
Through the TV show Rebelde, Maite became part of the musical group RBD. She was a recording artist with the band. RBD performed many sold-out concerts. They played for huge crowds in Brazil, Mexico, Spain, and Ecuador.
RBD became famous worldwide. They won several awards, including "Best Group of the Year" and "Best Album of the Year." They also won "Best Concert" and "Best Song of the Year." RBD sold over 50 million records. They filled huge venues like "Estadio Maracaná" in Brazil and Madison Square Garden in New York.
In 2008, Maite's popularity grew even more. She was chosen by young people in Mexico to be one of the first Latin women to have a Barbie doll made in her image. The Maite Perroni Barbie doll was very popular. It sold well in Mexico, other parts of Latin America, the United States, and Spain.
On August 8, 2008, RBD announced that they would be splitting up. They went on one last tour called the Gira Del Adios World Tour. This tour ended in early 2009. Maite missed part of the tour because she was busy filming her TV show, Cuidado con el ángel.
Solo Music Career
Maite released her first solo album in 2013. It was called Eclipse de Luna (Moon Eclipse). The music video for the first song from the album, "Tu y Yo," was shown during the "Premios Juventud 2013" (2013 Youth Awards). This event was watched by over 13 million people on Univision. The album reached number 2 on the U.S. Latin Pop Charts.
In July 2016, she released a new song called Adicta. Its official music video has been viewed over 7.5 million times on YouTube. That same year, she won several music awards. These included "Best Latin Female Artist" and "Best Latin Female Video - Adicta" at the "Latin Music Italian Awards 2016." She was also named "Latin Artist of the Year" by "La Caja de Música" in Spain.
Other Achievements and Recognition
In 2014, Maite launched her own clothing line. It is called Colección Maite Perroni. She has also hosted important awards shows. These include the 2015 "Lo Nuestro Awards."

Her Acting Roles
Maite Perroni started her acting career in Rebelde. This show was a new version of a popular Argentine TV show called Rebelde Way. Maite played Guadalupe "Lupita" Fernández. Lupita was a teenage girl from a poor family who got a chance to study at a special school. Rebelde aired from 2004 to 2006 and had 440 episodes.
After Rebelde was a big hit, Televisa released RBD: La Familia in 2007. This show starred the members of RBD. The characters in this show were not exactly like their roles in Rebelde. Instead, they were more like the actors' real personalities. RBD: La Familia was the first Mexican show filmed entirely in high definition. It ran for 13 episodes in 2007.
In 2008, Maite played the main character in Cuidado con el ángel. She starred alongside William Levy. This show was very successful around the world. She then took on her third main role in Mi Pecado, with Eugenio Siller. She also appeared in an episode of Mujeres Asesinas.
In 2009, Univision declared Maite Perroni the new queen of telenovelas.
In 2010, Maite was confirmed to star with William Levy again. This was in Triunfo del Amor. In 2012, she starred with Pedro Fernandez in Cachito de Cielo. This was her fifth main role.
In 2014, Maite was cast in her sixth main role in a telenovela called La Gata. She starred with Daniel Arenas, Erika Buenfil, and Laura Zapata. The show started airing on May 5, 2014. On July 12, 2014, People en Español magazine named Maite Perroni the new queen of Mexican telenovelas.
In 2015, Maite got her seventh main role in "Antes muerta que Lichita". This show quickly became popular in Mexico and the U.S. Later, in 2017, she took on her eighth main role in "Papá a toda madre" with Sebastian Rulli. She also signed a deal with Pantaya for future projects.
Her Musical Journey
Maite Perroni was a member of the very popular band RBD. This band became famous after the huge success of the TV show Rebelde. So far, RBD has released 9 studio albums. These albums include songs in Spanish, Portuguese, and English. They have sold over 15 million albums worldwide. They also went on many international tours, performing across Latin America and Europe.
Maite wrote the song "Tal Vez Mañana" for RBD's fourth Spanish album, Empezar Desde Cero. She also sang solo on the main song for that album.
For her role in Cuidado con el ángel, Maite recorded three songs for the show. These songs were "Esta Soledad," "Separada De Ti," and "Contigo." She also recorded a song with Reik called "Mi Pecado." This song was used as the opening theme for the telenovela Mi Pecado.
She recorded "A Partir De Hoy" with Marco di Mauro. This song was part of the soundtrack for the telenovela Triunfo del Amor. In 2012, Maite released a song called "Te daré mi corazón." It was used for her telenovela "Cachito de Cielo."
In late 2012, Maite announced that she would record her first solo album. It was named Eclipse de Luna. On July 16, 2013, Maite Perroni released a bachata song called "Tu y Yo." In May 2014, she released another bachata song, "Vas A Querer Volver." This song was also the theme song for her TV show La Gata. In June 2014, Maite released a duet with Alex Ubago called "Todo lo que soy." This was the couple's theme song in La Gata.
On July 14, 2016, Maite Perroni released her first single called Adicta. She performed it at the Premios Juventud 2016.

Maite is a spokesmodel for NYX Cosmetics. In 2007, a Barbie doll was made of Maite Perroni. It was based on her character in Rebelde.
In June 2009, Maite Perroni announced her support for the Ecologist Green Party of Mexico. Maite has appeared in commercials for many brands. These include Giraffas, Pepsi, Proactiv, Teleton, Pantene, and Coppel.
In late 2014, Maite Perroni worked with National Stores. They launched her clothing line, Coleccion Maite Perroni. This fashion line was inspired by her favorite designers and her own style. She designed it for Latinas who love themselves and want to look and feel good.
Maite's Personal Life
Maite Perroni currently lives in Los Angeles, California. She was in a relationship with Chilean musician and producer Koko Stambuk from 2013 to 2020.
In 2021, Maite started dating producer Andrés Tovar. They announced their engagement in September 2022. They got married on October 9, 2022. On January 6, 2023, Maite Perroni announced that she was expecting their first child. Their daughter, Lía, was born in May of the same year.
