Her husband, Aaron Frenkel, became successful in the business of trading aircraft. He was also named the Croatian honorary consul in Jerusalem by the former President of Croatia, Stjepan Mesić. An honorary consul is a person who represents a country in another country, usually without being a full-time diplomat.
